Case Study: Bauman Law (LouKyLaw.com)
Industry: Legal / Professional Services
Location: Louisville, KY
Focus: Brand Identity, Logo Design, Website Strategy, Photography, Collateral
Challenge:
Bauman Law, a Louisville-based firm specializing in bankruptcy and estate planning, needed a professional, localized brand identity and web presence that felt modern, approachable, and deeply tied to the community it served. With only a name and a dated website, attorney Jason Bauman was looking to elevate his firm’s credibility and visibility—without overcomplicating the process.
Approach:
I began with a simplified branding survey for Jason and his assistant, using a blind-response format to extract authentic perspectives on the firm’s values, services, and tone. We also collaborated on a custom worksheet to begin outlining a website wireframe, allowing the team to prioritize content and user flow with clarity.
With those insights, I developed a full visual identity:
Logo Design: A custom streetlamp mark with a fleur-de-lis flame—a nod to both Louisville’s civic symbol and the iconic gaslights of Jeffersontown, where the firm’s main office was located
Color Scheme + Typography: Designed to convey professionalism, stability, and trust
Domain Strategy: Secured and branded the domain loukylaw.com for stronger regional SEO
Photography: Shot original images at the firm’s office for use in marketing and the website
Website Design + Hosting: Built and launched a modern, mobile-friendly site with a WordPress backend and SSL certificate, designed for clarity and accessibility
Outcome:
Bauman Law’s new brand and website gave the firm a strong, community-connected presence that reflected both its local roots and professional reputation. Jason has continued to use the brand and website for over four years, with ongoing hosting and support. The visual identity became a clear, confident foundation for both online visibility and print collateral—including business cards and brochures.
